Korean Beef Rib Soup Stewed for Hours for the Perfect Texture
Ingredients
2 lbs. Beef Rib
2 large pieces of daikon
3 stalks of Green Onion
1 Large Onion
Seasonings
1 TBS Rice Wine
1 TBS Chicken Bouillon
1 TBS White Pepper
1 TBS Black Pepper
1 TBS Salt
Optional
Korean Red Chili Flakes
2 Egg Yolks
Additional Green Onion
Instrutions
First boil the beef ribs until the meat turns brown.
Rinse the ribs and wash thoroughly until you can fill up the pot with a new set of water and it's clear.
Then Prepare the Vegetables for the Stewing- Cut the Green Onion Stalks in half, peel onion, shave Daikon and Cut into 2 Pieces.
Then bring the vegetables and the ribs to a boil in the pot.
When the stew is brought to a boil, add in the seasonings, and then to your taste. Stew on low heat until meat is tender. (I let stew on the lowest setting of heat overnight)
Plating
Fry the Egg Yolks
Put daikon and 3-4 rib pieces on a bowl
Cut into Strips
Add Korean chili flakes if you want soup to be spicy
Cut Daikon from Stew into Slices
Then fill bowl with soup just barely covering the meat
Garnish with egg yolk pieces and green onions and serve :)
