Korean Tofu Stew, Spicy and full of flavor (:
Instructions
Broth:
5 Cups of Water
5 Cloves or Garlic, or 2 TBS Minced garlic
Half and Onion
3 Dried Shitake Mushrooms
10 Pieces of Dried Seaweed
2 TBS Fish Sauce
1 TBS Rice Wine
1 TBS Chicken Bouillon
Stew:
1 TSP Olive Oil
3 TBS Sliced Beef
1 TBS Gochujang
1 1/2 cup of Broth
2 TBS Korean Red Pepper Flakes
1 Cup of Extra Soft Tofu
1 TSP White Pepper
1 TSP Garlic Salt
1/2 cup Chopped Green Onion
1 Egg
Sesame Oil
Ingredients
First bring all the ingredients for the broth to a boil and let it simmer on medium heat for at least 30 minutes.
Then take out the dried shitake mushrooms and dice them and cut the tofu.
Then add 1 TSP of oil and the sliced beef in an earth stone pot over medium to high heat.
Then add in the shitake mushrooms and fry until meat is cooked.
Then add in the desired amount of spicy-ness. I add 2 TBS of Chili Flakes, it's pretty mild.
Then add 1 1/2
cup of the broth and the white pepper, salt, and gochujang.
Then add in the tofu and green onions and season to taste.
Then Top with an egg and drizzle some sesame oil and serve.
